Any other services that constitute the practice of law

Andrea Bolden is called to the Bar in Ontario and provides legal services in accordance with the Law Society of Ontario's Rules of Professional Conduct.

LEGAL SERVICES ARE ONLY PROVIDED PURSUANT TO A SIGNED ENGAGEMENT LETTER. No solicitor-client relationship is created by:

Contacting us through any form or email
Booking a discovery call or consultation
Participating in any free or public content

2.3 Coaching and Consulting Services — The Secure Startup Inc.

Coaching and Consulting Services are provided by The Secure Startup Inc. doing business as IP Goldmine and include but are not limited to:

Educational programs and courses
Workshops, masterminds, and group programs
Templates, toolkits, and educational resources

These services are educational and strategic in nature. They do NOT constitute legal services or legal advice. Coaching and Consulting Services may be provided to persons anywhere in the world.

3.1 No Relationship Created by Website Use

Andrea Bolden has explicitly agreed in writing to represent you;
All conflicts checks have been completed; and
You have been explicitly advised that a solicitor-client relationship has been established.

Until ALL of these conditions are met, no solicitor-client relationship exists and you should not rely on any information as legal advice.

3.3 Discovery Calls Are Not Legal Services

Discovery calls booked through this Website or through any booking link provided by us are preliminary conversations to determine if legal services are appropriate for your needs.

Fee arrangements for Legal Services are established individually in each Engagement Letter. Legal Services are NOT purchased through this Website or through thesecurestartup.ca.

Section 6: Booking and Scheduling

6.1 Discovery Call Bookings

You may book a discovery call through this Website or through any booking link we may provide. By booking a discovery call, you acknowledge and agree that:

The discovery call is an initial conversation only
No solicitor-client relationship is created
No legal advice will be provided during the call
The purpose is to determine mutual fit and discuss potential engagement
No confidential information should be shared unless explicitly advised otherwise

6.2 Rescheduling and Cancellation

If you need to reschedule or cancel a booked discovery call, you must provide at least 24 hours advance notice. Failure to provide 24 hours notice or failure to attend a scheduled call without notice will result in forfeiture of the appointment slot. We are not obligated to offer a replacement appointment for missed calls.

6.3 No Guarantee of Engagement

Booking and attending a discovery call does not guarantee that:

We will agree to provide Legal Services
You will be accepted as a legal client
An Engagement Letter will be offered

We reserve the right to decline representation for any reason including but not limited to conflicts of interest, lack of expertise in the required area, capacity limitations, or lack of mutual fit.

Section 7: Conflicts of Interest and Dual Service Arrangements

7.1 Potential for Conflicts

Because this Website serves as a portal for both Legal Services and Coaching and Consulting Services, situations may arise where you:

Are a legal client receiving Legal Services AND also participate in Coaching or Consulting Services;
Are a coaching or consulting client AND subsequently seek Legal Services;
Participate in group coaching or programs where other participants may have interests adverse to yours; or
Have business relationships or interests that create actual or potential conflicts.

7.2 Disclosure Requirements

YOU MUST DISCLOSE if you:

Are currently receiving or have previously received Legal Services from Goldmine Business and IP Law AND you wish to participate in Coaching or Consulting Services;
Are currently participating or have previously participated in Coaching or Consulting Services AND you wish to retain Goldmine Business and IP Law for Legal Services;
Have any business relationships, partnerships, investments, or dealings with other participants in any group coaching, mastermind, or group program;
Are considering or engaged in any business venture, transaction, or relationship with another client or participant; or
Become aware of any actual or potential conflict of interest at any time.

Failure to disclose potential conflicts may result in termination of services without refund and may create legal and ethical complications.

7.3 Separate Services, Separate Confidentiality

Legal Services provided by Goldmine Business and IP Law are subject to solicitor-client privilege and professional duties of confidentiality under the Law Society of Ontario's Rules of Professional Conduct.

Coaching and Consulting Services provided by The Secure Startup Inc. do not carry the same legal protections of solicitor-client privilege. Information shared in coaching or consulting contexts:

Is NOT protected by solicitor-client privilege
May be discussed or used for educational purposes
May be shared in anonymized case studies or examples
Is subject only to general confidentiality expectations
