About Andrea

Most people see one
side of the equation.

The strategy tells you what to build. The law is what makes it yours — an asset you can hold, license, and sell. Most advisors can only work one side of that line. Andrea works both at once.

A business lawyer and IP monetization strategist with nearly two decades of practice, she helps established experts turn proven methodologies into protected, scalable, sellable assets — not by choosing protection over growth, but by treating them as the same motion.

Walk her through how your business works and she’ll tell you, in plain language, what’s actually ownable, what’s quietly exposed, and where today’s expertise can become tomorrow’s asset. Clients come to her for clarity. They stay because the strategy holds up.

The Moment Everything Changed
In 2018, a stage 2 breast cancer diagnosis made the stakes personal.

From a hospital bed, still answering client emails, Andrea saw it clearly: she had built a successful business that depended entirely on her. If she stopped working, the income stopped. From the outside everything looked solid. On the inside, it was fragile.

"The entrepreneurs building real wealth weren't selling more hours. They were turning their expertise into assets."

That realization reshaped how she works and who she serves — and became the foundation of everything she now teaches, on the mic, in workshops, and on stage.

From Expertise to Asset

How to Turn What You Know Into Revenue That Doesn't Depend on You

Every established expert has built something proprietary - a method, a framework, a way of getting results others can't replicate. Most never treat it as an asset. Andrea shows how the entrepreneurs building real wealth convert expertise into intellectual property they can license, certify, protect, and eventually sell - without losing quality or control.

  • The difference between expertise that earns by the hour and IP that earns while you sleep
  • The three ways experts most often leave money on the table with their own frameworks
  • A clear first step to identify and protect the asset hiding inside the business

License What You've Built

Turning Your Methodology Into Scalable Revenue

The fastest way to grow without growing your hours is to let others deliver your method - under license, with your name and standards attached. Andrea breaks down what makes a framework licensable, the protection that has to happen first, and how licensing and certification create recurring revenue without recurring effort.

  • What separates a licensable framework from "just how I do things"
  • The protection required before anyone else touches your method
  • How licensing builds revenue that scales beyond your calendar

Licensing example: Browns Consulting built a program to train fringe theatre companies and licensed it for six figures.

Build a Business Worth Owning

How Experts Turn Expertise Into a Sellable Asset

A business that depends entirely on its founder isn't an asset - it's a job with risk. Andrea tells the story of realizing this from a hospital bed, and what she rebuilt afterward: an expert business structured to run, grow, and sell without her, through protected IP, clear ownership, and legal frameworks that support growth instead of slowing it down.

  • Why protection alone doesn't create freedom - and what does
  • The structural difference between a business you own and one that owns you
  • What buyers actually value when an expert business goes to sell

One-liner

Andrea Bolden is a business lawyer and IP monetization strategist who helps expert consultants and advisory founders turn what they know into assets they own — the rare combination of law and business strategy that lets her diagnose what’s exploitable in a business and make it legally enforceable in the same conversation.

Short bio

Andrea Bolden is a business lawyer and IP monetization strategist with nearly two decades of practice. She works with consultants, coaches, and advisory firm founders who have proven methodologies and want to build scalable, ownable assets from them. Most advisors can think strategically or draft enforceable agreements; Andrea does both in one engagement, so her clients don’t lose the business logic in the handoff to a lawyer who doesn’t understand it. She provides legal services through Goldmine Business and IP Law.

Speaker bio

Andrea Bolden is a business lawyer and IP monetization strategist who has spent nearly twenty years working where most professionals can only work one side: the line between business strategy and enforceable law. She helps expert consultants and advisory founders answer a question most have never been asked clearly — what in your business is actually ownable, and what is quietly exposed? Walk her through a methodology and she’ll tell you which parts can be licensed or certified, which depend on a person and cannot, and where a well-intentioned arrangement is about to trip a legal obligation nobody saw coming. That diagnostic is what she brings to a microphone, a panel, or a room. She provides legal services through Goldmine Business and IP Law.
